Wedding planning includes choosing your special clothes. Make your Sim's wedding as traditional or unique, extravagant or low-key as you like - cut the cake, toss your bouquet, have a first dance and more. There's also an option to get hitched at Tartosa City Hall if your Sims aren't into all the pomp and circumstance.
These new options also work in different worlds, so you're not limited to extravagant weddings in Tartosa. Players can also build a wedding party - choose an officiant, a Sim of Honor, a ring bearer and flower pals (the game's gender-neutral version of flower girl).
These special events will include new options to give toasts, speeches, dance, cut the cake and toss the bouquet. Now players can plan pre-wedding events like engagement parties, rehearsal dinners and "Bach" parties (a gender-neutral version of bachelor and bachelorette parties). The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories game pack adds the romantic, picturesque world of Tartosa for all your wedding needs. The new pack introduces players to a few premade families living in Tartosa, a new in-game world with picturesque locations to tie the knot. My Wedding Stories looks like it'll offer a far more dynamic, detailed and customizable wedding experience for Sims and players. "We wanted to be as broad as possible and tell as many stories as possible," said Sims 4 producer Dave Miotke, aka SimGuruNinja, during the demo. Since I've gotten more into legacy gameplay and storytelling, this format felt lacking, even when I set my wedding as a goaled event that yields rewards. If you planned a wedding event, another screen would pop up and you would choose a location, guests, a caterer and a musician for the big day. If you chose to elope, your Sims would immediately exchange vows and rings on the spot. After two Sims got engaged, players had the option to plan a wedding event or immediately elope. Until now, weddings in the Sims 4 felt a bit flat. My Wedding Stories introduces more fun and personal ways to celebrate your Sims saying "I do." Ahead of the pack's launch, My Wedding Stories producers held a virtual demo to show off what Simmers can look forward to.

The Sims 4 subreddit wasn’t having it either. We’ve put together the best reactions below. Like any fanbase that’s all up in arms, social media is rife with folks posting about how much they don’t like this roadmap business. It was more of a teaser for DLC, which itself was teased multiple times. Many assumed EA’s recent teasing of the roadmap would be for another expansion, but that wasn’t the case.

Not because the upcoming content looks terrible or anything, but The Sims 4 hasn’t had a significant update since last summer’s Cottage Living.
Or at least slightly upset, like how I react when someone needlessly dunks on pineapple pizza. There are no exact dates on when the new stuff will come out, but it doesn’t matter since most fans are busy being angry. On Tuesday, EA announced that The Sims 4 is getting another game pack and two kits throughout May and June - its first DLC since My Wedding Stories. There was loads of hype for The Sims 4‘s spring content roadmap, but anyone expecting another expansion was disappointed upon reveal.
